So we have our first wedding in Nashville this weekend. It's a huge relief to get started here after all the months of planning the move, and the chaos that went along with it. As of August 1st, it was a year that Sara started her job here. It's been one of the quickest years on our lives. We were sitting on the couch the other night and she asked me what was the date, and I told her the 3rd. She looked at me and said that was a crazy fast year. Neither one of us realized how fast it went.
So many things have changed for us in the last 16 months since we first found out she might have the opportunity to transfer to Nashville. We went from never really planning on living anywhere but Lexington, to her driving back and forth each week for the first seven months. I had been down here a few times to spend time with her, and meet with potential clients. It didn't really hit me that we were actually moving until I spent that last night in Lexington by myself. The house was totally empty. Our good friends next door had helped me clean up a little and load the U-haul that I brought down with me. On Friday the 2nd of March, I loaded up my Pathfinder with the dogs, and headed to Nashville (Mt. Juliet). Driving up to the house was a really weird experience. I still have a hard time realizing that we live here now.
Anyway, thing's are great here, and we are really enjoying Nashville and the town where we live. (Sara just wishes we had a Carraba's closer) As a business we have been able to shoot a concert for Tracy Lawrence, which was awesome. We have done two engagement sessions and one bridal portrait session. We have gotten involved with "The Pink Bride" magazine and have a wedding published in it from May. Also have gotten involved with "The Knot" and "Nashville Perfect Wedding Guide". We have a bridal show on the 26th of this month and two more in January. I will also be shooting some sporting events. I am working with my wire service, to get into the Predators (NHL) and hopefully Vanderbilt Football and Basketball.
So we just wanted to say "Thank You" to all our clients both in Kentucky and Tennessee. We have enjoyed working with every one of you! Each Wedding, Family, and Event we have photographed has been an Awesome experience for us and we look forward to many more in the future.
By the way, we leave on vacation Sunday morning. We are celebrating our 15th anniversary in the the great state of Florida!!
