Equipment - The Gordon Flash Strap

"The Gordon"  Flash Strap

I don't talk about equipment on here very much, but when I do it's about something that makes my life so much easier.   I purchased two "The Gordon" flash straps from Mike over at lightenupandshoot.com.  I got these because I have broken off the hotshoe portion of my speedlite before.   These straps make it impossible to do that.   I will mainly use them for on-location engagement/bridal portraits and photo booth lighting, but I can see using them for many different speedlite situations.

I was able to test this out this weekend at an event for a Lexington TV station and they worked great.   I don't have to worry about someone knocking them over and breaking the hotshoe on the speedlite anymore.   Here are a couple shots of them before the event started.

You can see on the second photo where I used to use "frio" cold shoe mounts to attached the speedlites.   Now with the Gordon strap, they are secure and match up perfectly to my Micro Apollo softboxes.

Here is a shot from the Event.
